Events & Activities at the Museum

Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 PM
Sandringham Tea

2:00 - 4:00 PM

Garden tour begins at 1:30 PM
Tickets: $30 per person

Many of us enjoyed the Downton Abbey series on PBS and while the show has left the air, the Long Beach Historical Society would like to pay homage to this classic series by hosting a Sandringham Tea on April 30th, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Tickets are $30 per person.

As usual, tea and delicious treats will be generously provided by our members. Also for your enjoyment members of the Long Beach High School Orchestra will provide music from this elegant era. Our founder and past president, Roberta Fiore, will lead a discussion on the importance of the afternoon tea to the social life of the early Long Beach.

Weather permitting, our dedicated garden committee, chaired by Phyllis Ginsberg, will be on hand to offer a tour and information on our gardens. Please arrive at 1:30 PM if you wish to spend time in the gardens, as the tea will start promptly at 2:00 PM.

We encourage our guests to get into the spirit of the event by wearing hats, costumes and jewelry appropriate to the era. Door prizes and raffles offered throughout the event.
